Investigating the relationship between age and smart phone usage patterns: Evidences from indian smart phone users

Abstract
This study intended to develop new categories of smart phone usage patterns in to three types such as professional, social and personal centric usage and tested the same among different age groups, i.e., young, middle, old, etc. with reference to finding the intentions of usage patterns among the selected age groups. The survey had been conducted among 150 Indian smart phone users belong to different age groups and the results revealed: 1) all age groups intended to use smart phones for personal usage; 2) young age group users intended to use smart phones for professional usage; 3) whereas middle age group and old age group users intended to use smart phones for social and personal usage, respectively.
