In this study we investigated the effect of non-uniform heat source/sink on magneto hydrodynamic Casson fluid flow between horizontal rotating plates. By making use of the appropriate similarity transformations, the equations which govern the flow are reduced into a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. Further, the equations are solved numerically using the Runge-Kutta based shooting technique. Also, find the influence of the various pertinent parameters on velocity and temperature profiles along with the friction factor and the local Nusselt number. We found an excellent agreement of the present results with the existed literature under some special limited cases. Results indicate that the non-uniform heat source/sink have tendency to improve the thermal boundary layer and the positive values of non-uniform heat source/sink parameters are act like heat generators. © Research India Publications.
