Kidney stone phantoms were prepared using commercially available material called Begostone. Prepared stone types were characterized using X-Ray Diffraction(XRD) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). Characterization results provides the structural properties and particular functional groups.Flexural strength analysis were done in an Universal Testing Machine (UTM). This study will help in optimizing the treatment parameters of shockwave lithotripsy and other similar non-invasive techniques. © 2015, Sphinx Knowledge House. All rights reserved.
