Simulation study of MNG based metamaterial structures

Abstract
This paper presents the design and parametric analysis of various MNG structures such as SRR, CLL, SR and Omega particle. Depending on the structure and its dimensions, negativity and S-Parameter characteristics of each MNG structure changes. These structures exhibits stop band characteristics depending on negative permeability and hence find applications in microwave circuit. The structures are realized on Fr4 substrate of relative permittivity 4.4 and thickness 1.6mm. The substrate dimension is (4.2×4.2) mm2. These structures are individually studied under free space excitation using microwave simulation software Ansoft HFSS. © 2017 IEEE.
