Dr. Loganathan Rangasamy is a recipient of the DBT Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellowship from the Department of Biotechnology, India. Now he is working as Associate Professor at the Centre for Biomaterials, Cellular, and Molecular Theranostics, Vellore Institute of Technology, India and his research work focuses on small molecule drug design, ligand targeted drug conjugates, fluorescence, and radio imaging agents, checkpoint inhibitors for immunotherapy. He has published 18 peer-reviewed journal articles, 2 book chapters, 1 edited book, and 1 international patent. He completed his Ph.D. in Bioinorganic Chemistry with Prof. Palaniandavar from Bharathidasan University. He then worked with Prof. Gilles Gasser, University of Zurich, where he was involved in the synthesis of metallocene-tethered peptidyl inhibitors. He worked with Prof. Philip S Low, Purdue University, USA, where he developed folate targeted miRNA delivery methodologies. He secured the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of San Pablo CEU, Spain with Prof. Ana Ramos.
