Dr. M. Rajasekhara Babu had his basic education in Anantapur (D.T.), A.P., India, taking his B.Tech., in Electronics and Communication Engineering (E.C.E) from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi, A.P., and M.Tech., in Computer Science and Engineering (C.S.E.) from R.E.C Calicut ( presently known as NIT Calicut), Calicut, Kerala . He took his Ph.D., degree from VIT University, Vellore, Tamil Nadu. He joined VIT University Vellore in 2002 and served in many positions after serving Intel E.C for two years (2000-2002). He was instrumental in establishing state-of-art laboratory with the financial grant from Intel, India under higher education scheme for Multi-Core Architecture, Embedded Systems and Internet of Things (IoT) in School of CSE at VIT University, Vellore and he is fondly introduced with this in most of the forums. He visited NUS (National University of Singapore), NTU (Nanyang Technological University) Singapore and University of Malaya, Malaysia with generous funding from VIT University for research collaborations. He published three patents at national level and awaiting for grant. He is currently carrying out a funded project from ICSSR. He produced 6 Ph.D., students from VIT University. He published more than 100 publications in peer reviewed journals and National / International conferences and authored couple of books in the area of Computer Architecture, Compiler Design and Grid Computing. He edited international conference proceedings ObComAPC - 2004 ( ISBN: 8177647148), ObCom2006 ( ISBN of Vol 1- 9780230630109 & Vol. II- 9780230630116), and ObCom 2011 (ISBN of Vol 269:978-3-642-29218-7 & Vol 270:978-3-642-29215-6) which were published by reputed publishers Allied Publishers Pvt Ltd, Macmillan Publishers and Springer International Publisher. Dr. RajaBabu’s works were close to industrial needs of the day and assisted in the development of energy aware applications for Pervasive Devices and HPC (High Performance Computing) Architectures. His area of research includes Internet of Things (IoT), High Performance Computing (HPC). He received a best teacher award for year 2005-2006 and rewarded for the best e-course content made available in Acado (an e. learning portal) in 2007 by VIT University. Through his interaction with many professional societies such as Computer Society of India (CSI), IEEE, IAEI, he has extensively conducted training programmes, workshops, seminars & conferences of international standing. He also held positions in CSI-Vellore chapter as treasurer, Vice-Chairman, Chairman etc., Dr. RajaBabu has served in various prestigious positions as a Division Leader ( TCS & LT) & Program Manager , Committee member of Board of Studies (SCSE), Committee member of central library (VIT University) , Committee member of Project Based Learning team (Academic Committee), Placement and Training (PaT) Coordinator for Training Programs (TCS, Infosys, Wipro), Committee member of Accreditation committee (SCSE), School of CSE Coordinator for NAAC accreditation. A university cultural and sports fest -Reviera2011 &12 finance Controller, Project Coordinator (B.Tech(CSE)), Quality Circle Meeting (QCM) Coordinator, School Time table coordinator, Exam Coordinator, Acado e-learning Co Coordinator , Committee member of University Internal quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and a few others. His zeal for technical education and engineering contributions are continuous. For the last 16 years, he has served VIT University, Vellore, first as a Lecturer, as then Sr. lecturer, Lecturer Selection grade, Asst. professor Selection grade and associate professor. His contributions to the University and computer Science and Engineering fields are noteworthy.
