Abstract
Utilizing natural fibres as reinforcement in polymer matrix composites are keen interest for researchers nowadays due to environmental concern. In this study, an attempt is made to reinforce coir and aloe vera fibre with polymer composites. This work describes the determination of stress intensity factors of natural fibre made composites consisting of coir and aloe vera fibre as reinforcements and hybrid polymer as a matrix. The fabrication of composites is done through hand lay-up technique. In this work, an effort is made to study the fracture analysis of natural fibre reinforced composites and the same is also validated with finite element analysis. © 2018 Politechnica University of Bucharest.
