Abstract
Fabrication of eco-friendly composites has been increased in recent times due to recyclability and biodegradability factors. An attempt is made in this paper to fabricate sugarcane fiber reinforced hybrid polymer matrix composite. Hybrid polymer, used in this work, is a blend of synthetic and natural resin. Tensile strength of fabricated composites is investigated. Taguchi L9 orthogonal array is used in the design of experiments procedure. The influence of different parameters on tensile strength is studied. The regression equations are obtained which illustrates the influence of each parameter on the tensile strength of the composite. © 2017 Elsevier Ltd.
