Biography
D P Acharjya received his PhD in computer science from Berhampur University, India. At present, he is working as a Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering, VIT, Vellore, India.
He has authored more than 70 international and national journal papers, book chapters and four books; Fundamental Approach to Discrete Mathematics, Computer Based on Mathematics, Theory of Computation, Rough Set in Knowledge Representation and Granular Computing: On some aspects to his credit. In addition, he has edited seven books to his credit.
Dr. Acharjya has served various organisations in various capacities such as academic guide of IGNOU, ICFAI University; conducting board member of Government (Autonomous) College, Rourkela; founder secretary of OITS, Rourkela chapter, Odisha; member of the board of studies in computer science and engineering, and member of networking national and international relations of the VIT Vellore. He is associate editor of several international journals and is a reviewer of many international journals like Applied Soft Computing, Knowledge based Systems (Elsevier), IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems and International Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing. His current research interests include rough sets, formal concept analysis, knowledge representation, data mining, granular computing, genetic algorithm, neural network, bio-inspired computing and business intelligence.
