My teaching experience includes courses on electromagnetic fields, Rf and microwave sensors. Research interests lie, in large part in biomedical applications of electromagnetic theory. In particular have been involved in microwave imaging an important emerging imaging modality that has vast potential in many medical applications. This interest has led to the development of a Microwave UWB radar for breast cancer detection. The goal of this work is to provide an affordable, safe, comfortable tool and suitable for repeated exams, which can compliment current technologies used for breast cancer detection. Even though the primary focus of the system is on diagnosis, the system may be extended for monitoring of breast cancer treatment. Have also worked on several projects for non-destructive testing applications.
