Has taught undergraduate and postgraduate students of B.Tech and M.Tech Biotechnology. Produced 12 PhDs, 3 MS (By Research) and guidedp more than 50 projects for the undergraduate and postgraduate students. Published more than 80 research papers in indexed national and international journals. Also taken various administrative responsibilities at the university level.

Areas of interest include: Exploring novel metabolites from halotolerant microorganisms, exploring the applications of protein based nanoparticles and use of phytochemicals for the management of snake bites and mycobacterium tuberculosis.
