I am currently working as an Associate Professor in School of Civil Engineering, VIT-University, Vellore Campus, India. I completed my under graduation (B.Tech-Civil Engineering) with University Gold Medal and post graduation (M.Tech-Environmental Engineering) with distinction from Pondicherry Engineering College, Pudhucherry. Further I finished my doctorate (PhD-Environmental Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India with GE-Ecomagination Excellence Award. I have published more than 50 research publications in international and national refereed journals and conferences.
My research interests are air quality modelling using deterministic, statistical and artificial neural network techniques, development of air quality management and implementation system, source emission inventory, outdoor-indoor air pollution relationships and indoor air quality.
My key skills are in outdoor/indoor/industrial air quality monitoring, assessment, modelling, control, management and policy actions; Developing physical, chemical and biological methods for air pollution control; Planning, designing and evaluation of water, wastewater and effluent treatment plants, land fill sites, solid waste dump sites and composite yards and industrial air emissions control units; Developing physical, chemical and microbiological methods for land and water pollution; Solid Waste and Sludge/Biosolids utilization, control and management; Establishing lab and field procedures according to local (CPCB) and International (APHA, ASTM, BIS, NIOSH, U.S. EPA) Agencies.
