I am currently working as Assistant Professor at VIT University at Vellore Campus. Earlier I was at Max Planck Institute of Iron Research (MPIE), Germany worked as Post-Doctoral research scientist. I gain experience in GE Global Research, GE India Technology Pvt. Limited and worked on super alloys additive manufactured products.
The broad area of my research is microstructure-property correlation in metallic materials. My research work involve on correlating at various length scale deformation behavior to material microstructure. I worked on various material systems, that include polycrystalline thin film, Ni based super alloys, titanium alloys and metal matrix composite etc. I gain expertise in field of orientation microscopy, in situ micro mechanical testing, deformation behavior and crystallographic texture of materials. I also briefly gain experience in area Neural Network Modelling for preparing mathematical model to predict mechanical behavior of materials as function of microstructure variables.
About my education: In year 2016, completed my PhD in area of materials science and engineering from IIT Bombay, India. Before that I earned my Master in Technology in 2010 from NIT Trichy in Materials Engineering and Technology.
With a strong desire to get excel in material research, I am looking forward opportunities in industry/academic organization. I love to work with smartest people and team with new idea to start new ventures/startup for solving challenging problem of real world, where my knowledge, experience and skills can be benefited to the startup.
