Dr. P. Viswanathan is an Professor at School of Computer Science and Engineering, VIT University, India. He received Diploma in computer technology from Sreenivasa Polytechnic, State Board of Technical Education, India, on 1998, Bachelor of Engineering in Computer science Engineering from Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, India, on 2002, then Master of Engineering in Computer Science Engineering from Annamalai University, Chidambaram, India, on 2006 and, he received his Doctorate Ph.D. from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University, Vellore, India, on 2014. His current research interests include digital image processing, cloud computing, Internet of Things and computer graphics in shape analysis, description, and segmentation. He was the recipient of several academic and research awards such as the best poster award from Indian science congress in the year 2007 and VIT Most Active Researcher Award for the year 2010-2021.
