Mobile Ad-Hoc Networks (MANETs) use anonymous routing protocols that hide node identifies and/or routes from outside observers in order to provide anonymity protection. In this attack, an adversary captures few nodes, replicates them and then deploys arbitrary number of replicas throughout the network. It is very hard to distinguish between non-compromised nodes a clone node since a clone has the same security and code information of original node. Hence cloned nodes can launch a variety of other attacks. The detection of cloning attacks is therefore a fundamental problem. The main objective of this method is to prevent clone attacks in MANETs while routing. A clone attack is launched by a malicious node by copying the configuration of a legitimate active node of current operating network. Polynomial bivariate keys are used for preventing clone attacks while routing by validating the next hop until the data reaches the destination. A polynomial key based authentication layer in AODV is used to demonstrate the clone attack prevention in the MANET. © 2018, Scientific Publishers of India. All rights reserved.

Preventing clone attacks using dynamic cryptography in MANETs

Recently, condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of rolling element bearings in rotary machinery is an important task in industries for system preventive maintenance, increase reliability, improved productivity and increase machine availability. Existing methods for condition monitoring of bearings require extensive experimental arrangements using costly sensors and complex computational techniques in frequency domain for fault diagnosis. This work presents a simple time domain based approach using Fourier harmonic regression analysis method for condition monitoring of rolling element bearings. In the present work, bearing vibrations are acquired in normal and faulty conditions. A Fourier harmonic regression analysis method is applied to determine the confidence intervals for the bearing condition monitoring. The magnitude of harmonics and standard deviation of residuals are analyzed for identifying effect of faults like outer race fault, inner race fault and bearing ball fault. Experimental results show the effectiveness in detection of bearing conditions using the calculations in time domain. © 2017 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Fourier Harmonic Regression Method for Bearing Condition Monitoring using Vibration Measurements

One important and challenging problem in human interaction is the communication between those individuals who are vocationally and visually disabled. The challenge involved here involves a peculiar case where the person who is vocationally disabled and uses sign language using hand gestures to communicate cannot talk with the person who is visually impaired as the visually impaired patient cannot see and comprehend the sign language as exhibited by the vocationally impaired patient. Natural sign language processing has motivated many such implementations where one can communicate directly but the attempts made for the same have proven to be highly expensive though effective but infeasible. The proposed system is that we introduce electronic device pecking system that can transmit voice after receiving signals from the other people for the communication to take place. The advantage is that communication becomes easier between a blind and other disabled people (Anbarasi Rajamohan, et al., International Journal of Scientific Engineering and Technology 2, 336). It is cost effective so everyone can afford it. The device receives the signals that are being sent by the other disabled persons and manipulates and processes it and sends out a voice signal to the blind person for the communication to occur. The voice module decrypts the received code or signal to speech conversion. Data acquisition software reads the structured measurements packets sent through the serial port and stores them in a human readable format (ASCII text). Collected data is processed and features are extracted and then are collected by the pattern recognition system for classification and then sent to the voice module where it sends out a voice to the blind. © 2018 American Scientific Publishers. Communication System for Vocationally and Visually Disabled People Using Embedded System

Exchange of purchasing or selling online named E-business (Electronic trade), where it draws on advances, for example, versatile trade, electronic assets exchange, production network administration, Internet marketing, online exchange handling, electronic information exchange (EDI), stock administration frameworks, and mechanized information accumulation frameworks. Now-a-days the limitation between the e-commerce website and the social networking website is highly invisible. In social media, user can post their purchased products on micro blogs which will directly link into the e-commerce sites. We use feature-based matrix factorization method for user embeddings for cold start product recommendation. A case study on commending user in social media based on user information and rating of product in interface forums

Neutrosophy (neutrosophic logic) is used to represent uncertain, indeterminate, and inconsistent information available in the real world. This article proposes a method to provide more sensitivity and precision to indeterminacy, by classifying the indeterminate concept/value into two based on membership: one as indeterminacy leaning towards truth membership and the other as indeterminacy leaning towards false membership. This paper introduces a modified form of a neutrosophic set, called Double-Valued Neutrosophic Set (DVNS), which has these two distinct indeterminate values. Its related properties and axioms are defined and illustrated in this paper. An important role is played by clustering in several fields of research in the form of data mining, pattern recognition, and machine learning. DVNS is better equipped at dealing with indeterminate and inconsistent information, with more accuracy, than the Single-Valued Neutrosophic Set, which fuzzy sets and intuitionistic fuzzy sets are incapable of. A generalised distance measure between DVNSs and the related distance matrix is defined, based on which a clustering algorithm is constructed. This article proposes a Double-Valued Neutrosophic Minimum Spanning Tree (DVN-MST) clustering algorithm, to cluster the data represented by double-valued neutrosophic information. Illustrative examples are given to demonstrate the applications and effectiveness of this clustering algorithm. A comparative study of the DVN-MST clustering algorithm with other clustering algorithms like Single-Valued Neutrosophic Minimum Spanning Tree, Intuitionistic Fuzzy Minimum Spanning Tree, and Fuzzy Minimum Spanning Tree is carried out. © 2018 Walter de Gruyter GmbH, Berlin/Boston 2018.

Abstract: Among the applications enabled by expert systems, disease diagnosis is a particularly important one. Nowadays, diabetes is found to be a complex health issue in human life. There has been a wide range of intelligent methods proposed for early detection of diabetes. The objective of this paper is to propose an expert system for better diagnosis of diabetes. The methodology of the proposed framework is classified as two stages: (a) Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) based genetic algorithm for feature selection, (b) Generalized Regression Neural Network (GRNN) for classification. The proposed a genetic algorithm with Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) based feature selection for not only reduce the computation time and cost of the disease diagnosis but also improved the accuracy of classification. The performance of the method is evaluated using the calculation of accuracy, confusion matrix and Receiver-Operating Characteristic (ROC). The proposed method is compared with other existing methods for evaluating the performance and accuracy. The LDA based Genetic Algorithm (GA) with GRNN produces the accuracy of 80.2017% with a ROC of 0.875. © 2018, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

Linear Discriminant Analysis Based Genetic Algorithm with Generalized Regression Neural Network – A Hybrid Expert System for Diagnosis of Diabetes

Day-by-day, the desideratum for high speed internet connectivity increases and consequently, high performance switches are imminent. These switches require efficient schedulers to reach its maximum potential. In this paper, a high performance scheduler is proposed for buffered crossbar switches to work under multicast traffic.
