Focusing towards the identification on the current issues with improvisation on every field, language becomes a mandatory field which needs to get improved at all levels. Hence, raises the need of the current research study. Many students lose good opportunities due to lack of vocabulary. This prudent research highlights the technological modality to explore 93 ESL learners’ vocabulary knowledge through social strategies. TED talks were used as an annexure towards a power pointed management also to make a demonstration anywhere. Henceforth it is been used towards specific or general means on learning. The obtained results of the study revealed that the use of technological modality is more effective for learning the meaning of new vocabulary. The pre-test and post-test results shows the significant development and relationship between social strategies and TED Talk videos for learning a new vocabulary in the target language. Detailed descriptions of the usefulness of social strategies for vocabulary learning and vocabulary acquisition are given in the investigation. © 2018, Institute of Advanced Scientific Research, Inc. Advanced technological modality to explore ESL learners’ vocabulary knowledge through social strategies

Ecocriticism, a literary theory, is crucial in the current scenario, as reading a literary work under ecocritical lens is one of the functions of ecocriticism. It not only magnifies the works that appreciate nature but also explores the linguistic and literary exemplifications of the environment. Writing about ecology and environment is documented in ancient Indian literature, hence ecocriticism is not new to Indian literary context. Ecological balance is vividly represented in the Sangam (Tamil) literature, for instance, detailing of Aintinai (five landscapes). In contemporary Indian writing, there seems to be an imbalance between fiction and nonfiction environmental writings. A focus on ecological imbalance due to urbanization and westernization is seen in many unexplored Indian novels. The number of nonfictional writings famed for their "green" concern is quite high compared to fiction. Ecocriticism in Indian fiction

Professional students have to enrich their vocabulary to secure a job and meet the challenges in the job. But the question is whether at the tertiary level they can be allowed to be in groups in the class and to fend for themselves or given minimal assistance from the teacher or they need to rely on the teacher for improving their knowledge of vocabulary. The researcher adopted both the teaching methods in the study and in addition to the teaching methods, she used both incomprehensible and simplified material for the study for the study. The 2x2 factorial design which was followed shows that neither method of teaching nor the nature of input has much positive effect on them to improve their vocabulary. © IAEME Publication

Naomi's Power can be considered as Speculative Fiction which has long questioned the traditional preoccupation of power between sexes. These feminist speculative novels create a space for women to reverse the gender roles ascribed to them. The genre provides freedom of imagination for the women writers to imagine a world of their own. Feminist Fabulation (FF) is a term coined by Marleen S Barr conceptualized in Feminist Fabulation Space/Postmodern Fiction. The term gave legitimacy to women writers of speculative, science and utopian fictions. Feminist Science Fiction aims at envisioning transformation in patriarchal order of the society. This paper will examine the use of power and also explore the altered power structures in Naomi Alderman's The Power, as it explores and explodes the realities of hegemony and alters it to create a world for women with ultimate power. It shows what changes when the holder of power is reversed. It further probes into what does not change and why. Though women use this power to shield them from men, being the possessors of power they indubitably show their dominance. Alderman reinforces the adversities of power, no matter who holds it. Perusal of the power: The ascendancy of electrifying women in naomi alderman's speculative fiction

Background: Technological advancement has revolutionized various aspects of healthcare sector. The term e-Healthcare and its usage evolved in 1990s. The global term, e-Healthcare is a reference to everything that is related to computers, internet and medicine. e-Healthcare is relatively a new phenomenon and rapidly growing sector in India. It includes clinical customer services, storing health records, sharing health information, health surveillance, healthcare courses, programs and research. Though there are unprecedented e-services happening in health care sector, identity or data theft is considered as one of the major issues in e-health care. Methods: The study aims at analyzing students’ e-health preference and readiness through a survey questionnaire among engineering undergraduates in Chennai. Results and discussion: A survey analysis is attached to figure out students’ e-health readiness. The study also reveals the lack of opportunities to use internet and apps for health. The lack of awareness about e-health in India is majorly because of no or slow access to internet in rural areas. Though doctors prefer online services, students are worried about cyber security and threats. Students opinion that Government and Health care service providers should safeguard patients’ identity by ensuring individual’s right to privacy and dignity. Conclusion: Various parameters available in the form of technology are discussed and successful national healthcare startups are listed to focus on ‘Health care to every citizen’. Women in their day to day life face many struggles and hurdles; some overcome and lead their life unflinchingly, whereas many face the same, by accepting and tolerating it within as they no longer feel it as a struggle but as a routine pattern of life. At that moment emerged the feminist movement through which women were free to share their experiences that helped many women to speak and shout out their grief and to overcome their subjugation. Women need a space in their lives as they have the right to it; feminists also advocate that every woman should have space which brings them freedom. There are various works that deal with feminism through writings and movies which bring out the nature of women in a way that every woman can relate and reflect it with their daily lives. The invisibilization of women in a societal propinquity and a rummage for Carte Blanche

This paper discusses Jodi Picoult’s Change of Heart: A Novel in order to foreground how the received heart triggers anxiety and the narrative crisis in the heart recipient who develops an ambiguous relationship with the heart donated by a death row inmate. The paper foregrounds how the current culture of transplantation medicine evolution of kinship orders such as intercorporeal and intersubjective relationality has problematized the notion of the body as a discrete biological unit with a definite boundary. Interestingly in the novel, the fragments of the human body acquire a symbolic imagery that challenges the medical and commercial understanding of the human body as spare parts and therapeutic tools. The fictional frame of the literary narrative dramatizes how the residual presence of the donor’s subjectivity validates the notion of cellular memories that define memory as a distributive phenomenon not located to the brain alone. The paper highlights how development in the domain of organ transplantation has enabled us to reconceptualize the significance of body in the construction of human subjectivity and has allowed us to retrospect on the concept of the fluidity of the human bodily boundary that has problematized our traditional understanding of the body as an organic integrated whole. © 2018 The Author(s).
