The aim of this study is to develop an expert system for the diagnosis of diabetic patients. PIMA Indian Diabetes Dataset is used by the proposed system. The proposed system uses feature reduction techniques like Recursive feature elimination and principal component analysis for enhancing the performance. The expert system is built using Deep Neural Networks and Artificial Neural Networks. This study also compares the performance of proposed deep neural network with artificial neural networks using various performance measures: accuracy, sensitivity, specificity. © IAEME Publication.

SELF HELP GROUPS (SHG) plays a significant role in alleviating poverty in India. The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) launched its pilot phase of the Self Help Group (SHG) in February 1992 in Indiato help the poor rural people in providing credit. SHGs are small groups formed by a group of rural women informally to generate support and economic benefit, sense of responsibility among themselves and these groups not only create the financial inclusion but also up bring the social participation of women which in turn increase the empowerment of women and decrease the social exclusion at a larger extent. This paper investigates the difference between the perceptions of users and non-users of internet banking. The main aim of demonetization is to dishearten the cash dependent economy. This article examined the opinion on demonetization and its effects. This study employed a quantitative approach on ICICI bank customers having salary account with this bank. Approached salary account holders of this bank in select colleges and investigated that internet banking is easy to use, reliable, convenient, safer, hassle free. Researcher observed that there is noteworthy disparity between users and non-users of green baking initiatives. Even though the account holders are having internet banking facility the study enquired that they are using this facility for transactions and to know the opinions for not adopting the facility. This article highlights the importance of activating and using internet banking to promote cash less transaction. The expected results might provide a clear view to the non-users regarding factors to use internet banking. A studyon market without cash — conventional to digital

According to World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 7 million people worldwide die due to air pollution every year. Globally, for the past five years the pollution in air increased at 8%, and nearly 3,000 cities in the world are identified as maximum air polluted cities and the study also stated that in Middle East, South East Asia and West Pacific are most air polluted counties in the world. In China, the air pollution is 20 times more than the prescribed normal limit and as per the report, nearly half a million people die due to air pollution. According to this year’s Global Barden of Disease (GBD) estimates, one fifth of deaths across the world occur from outdoor air pollution. It is also the fifth leading cause of deaths in India and in Delhi alone nearly 35,000 deaths occur due to acute respiratory infections (ARI). The impact on air pollution leads to asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, chronic bronchitis etc are the diseases caused by exposure to increasing air pollution. Several studies have shown that vehicular emissions form 45% of urban air pollution. They are also a major contributor to indoor air pollutants including smoke, dust, aerosols, smoke from bakeries, burning garbage and toxic chemical compounds like carbon monoxide. Pollution from vehicles coupled with emission from products like paints, burning fuel, construction rubble as well as allergens like pollen, models and dander can affect indoor air quality. Based on the above issues in air pollution, the researchers wants to test the awareness on consequences of air pollution among urban students in Vellore district, Tamil Nadu in India. The findings of the study found that, the respondents have full awareness about urban air pollution including dust mines, bacteria, fungi, viruses, pollen, pet air and second hand smoke. Atmosphere with extreme temperatures, exacerbates diseases such as asthma, skin cancer and respiratory diseases, and in particular the urban area is most polluted in the Vellore district in Tamil Nadu. Awareness of consequences of Air pollution among Urban students

Purpose: The main aim of the study is to assess the customers’ perception towards organic food products and their level of satisfaction. The study further attempts to identify the factors influencing the consumers’ to purchase the organic food products and also to find outwhich organic product is purchased by the customers more frequently at Vellore, TamilNadu. Methodology: Questionnaire is the sole instrument used to measure the customers’ perception towards organic food products. The sample of the study collected from 112 customers of Harish Food Zone, Sugam Natural Food Zone, Allmart Supermarket Shops in Vellore city. The questionnaire contains two portions. The first part deals with demographic data. The second portion consist of eighteen variables relating to consumers’ perception towards organic food products under fivedimensions sayhealth,safety, environment friendly,quality and controlled by authority. Implications: Customer’s perceptions towards organic food products are good for health, healthier than conventional food,naturally is better for health, chemical free and convincing way of food safety. Only minority customers had high level of satisfaction towards organic food products.Elderly consumers have more positive attitudes towards organic food products. Awareness about the organic food products is low in the city hence awareness campaign should be organized particularly among the youngsters.The demographic variable plays a major role with regard to organic food products. Most of the customers purchased theorganic food products such as fruits and vegetables followed by milk and dairy products and cereals. Majority of the customers quoted the reasons for not purchasing organic food products is high price and not controlled by authority. Copyright © EM International.

Consumers’ perception towards organic food products-Vellore City, Tamil Nadu

In a world where houses, electronic devices, bank and social media accounts, vehicles, lockers etc., are controlled by passwords, identity theft looms large in case of bank accounts too. Through skimming and other cyber frauds, scamsters are able to steal money as well as compromise with customer’s passwords and identity. Once a person’s identity is compromised, the same might be used elsewhere anonymously to run transactions. This puts bank customers into quandary. Such a cyber crime is hard to trace out and developing countries lack enough infrastructures to do so. The sample size for the study was 400 floating population of Bengaluru. The analysis was done using simple random sampling and a three point Likert scale. A pilot study was conducted with 10 respondents before finalizing the questionnaire. Cronbach’s Alpha was used to test the reliability of the data. Pearson’s Chi Square Test of Association was used to find the association between demographic and inferential variables. Pearson’s Chi Square Test of Independence was used to measure the impact that independent variables had on dependent variables. This paper is a study towards the Collectivism behavior that exists in Indian society, which could possibly lead to damage and misuse of bank customer’s identity through the usage of Automated Teller Machines (ATM). A study on impact of collectivism amongst floating population in Bengaluru, karnataka on ATM identity theft

The main purpose of this paper is to examine consumer’s attitude towards buying decision of organic food products in Vellore city. Questionnaires were used to collect data from 200 consumers at organic food stores in Vellore city from May 2017 to June 2017. The proposed model in PLS-SEM explained consumers’ purchase decision towards organic food products. The study results confirmed that the proposed model examined that combined past consumer behavioral theories to ascertain the factors that commence in the purchase of organic food products. The findings of this present study have research implications to both academicians and marketing executives. Consumer’s attitude towards organic food products buying decision in vellore city: Structural equation modeling – using partial least square (SEM-PLS) approach

<div>Immediately after World War II, many European nations felt it was important to unite the European nations to form a union for the economic and social benefits. However, the dream of a “Common European Union” is still quite far from reality. The EU is the England’s largest business partner. Almost fifty percent of Britain’s trade is with the EU. Now, Britain’s decision to leave the EU is a death blow to the EU. Today, the Brexit is viewed as the next big financial event since 2008 subprime crisis causing dent on the global economy. History has exhibited that stock market plays a major role in any economy. Stock markets have been impacted by various macro and micro economic factors. Therefore, the main objective of this empirical paper is to investigate the pricing behaviour of the chosen benchmark indices (Sensex and Nifty) with respect to a major political event (Brexit referendum) and its implications for regulators, researchers and market participants. For the purpose of the study the data has been collected from 24-06-2015 to 19-07-2016 and the collected data has been tested for stationarity by applying ADF test. The event study methodology has been employed to determine the impact of Brexit referendum on India stock market. In order to capture the historical volatility the standard deviation of the abnormal returns of the selected indices has been computed. GARCH (1,1) model have been employed to ascertain the existence of ARCH/GARCH effect in the indices. We found a significant impact of Brexit referendum on both the chosen indices on the event day. Nobody knows the actual impact of the Brexit on the world economy in the long run. The bulk of studies on Brexit referendum have concluded that the impact on the Britain’s economy would be significant and adverse. However, the shock on the European Union would be smaller, although no extensive macroeconomic assessment has been published.</div>
