This study investigates the status of digital financial inclusion in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu, India amongst bank account holders. Taken into consideration the infinite population as whole population and bank account holders as study population, a sample size of 300 was derived and they have access to digital financial products and services. Questionnaire and interview schedule was used as data collection tool. Spearman’s rho correlation was used for data analysis. There was a very strong positive relationship identified between age and mobile banking, and between income and internet banking. Concern about safety and security was the major reason for occasional usage of digital platform and lack of frequent income was the major reason for non-usage of digital platform. It was suggested that digitalization can be made cost-effective and simple to facilitate vulnerable such as old age people, women and illiterates. © Serials Publications Pvt. Ltd.

Digital financial inclusion is a need of the hour: An investigation amongst bank account holders in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu, India

Today's work environment is universal and multifaceted. The association between emotional intelligence and managerial performance in corporate sector remains a significant part to be concerned for managers internationally. This study concentrates on the Managerial performance of employees, who are working in the select corporate companies at Bangalore city, with the impact of Emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence (EI) is a responsible and relying factor of an employee to achieve success and for the emotional well being is important to create a bond between the employees and their work place. This research paper examined the role of emotional intelligence on managerial performance in select corporate companies. Total 200 questionnaires sent for the companies, among them 154 returned to evaluate the results through data analysis. The target members are the managers of corporate companies. Based on some models of emotional intelligence, this paper explores how emotional intelligence of managers is influencing the performance of managers. Emotional intelligence is critical factor for the growth of employee at work place, for organizational performance. It plays a significant role in concert of today's competitive organizations. The findings of the study elevated that emotional intelligence has relatively positive bang on managerial performance of the employees working in corporate companies at Bangalore. © Serials Publications.

Mounting managerial performance with emotional intelligence-a study at select corporate companies in Bangalore City

Handloom segment is one of the old and traditional Industries in India and on which the millions of handloom weavers depends upon the weaving and the livelihood for rural artisans in our country. By and large the handloom products are in good quality, affordability, durability, availability and artisan work. On the one hand, at present handloom segment is at its worst condition that it faces severe problems like strict competition from power loom as well as from mill made producers. At this juncture the government has taken some preventative measures to divide the handloom products and machine made products as well as mill made products. On the other hand the customers are totally confused about in finding the differentiation between the handloom product and the machine made product. From this perspective, the paper tries to analyze and study the customer Attitude and Satisfaction towards buying and utilizing of handloom products. Moreover, the different factors that influence the buying behavior of handloom customers. Therefore, the present study has been conducted in SPSR Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. The data has been collected from primary sources through questionnaire. Customer attitude and satisfaction towards handloom products with reference to Nellore district – Andhra Pradesh

The most common cause of visual impairment which affects about twenty five thousand patients is diabetic retinopathy. Adaptive neuro fuzzy system was used to create a rule base for fuzzy system. The fuzzy system is then used to find out the risk level of the diabetic retinopathy that the patient has. The dataset was taken from Diabetic Retinopathy Study (DRS). The accuracy, specificity and sensitivity found in this study were 92.9%, 71.4% and 97% respectively. © IAEME Publication.

Risk level prediction of diabetic retinopathy using adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system

Internet Banking came to India more than two decades ago, yet the present senior citizens have still not accepted this platform due to various reasons. This study aims at studying various factors involved in preparing the senior citizens into using internet banking, by forming it’s foundation on James Duesenberry’s ‘Demonstration’ theory. A survey was conducted among 384 respondents in Pathanamthitta, Kerala. The study used Pearson’s chi-square test to analyse demographic variables and linear regression to analyse inferential variables. The study focused on the untapped online banking benefits that senior citizens could avail. The preferences, present computer knowledge and the myth that elders are computer averse were tested in this study. The study concluded that knowledge source is an important factor that decided the usage of internet banking by senior citizens. If appropriate learning techniques are used, India would not be far behind in calling herself a ‘digitally inclusive’ country. © Serials Publications Pvt. Ltd.

A study on familiarizing internet banking amongst senior citizens in pathanamthitta, kerala - an investigation

This paper discusses the issues confronted by bank account holders on the usage of financial products and services in Vellore district, Tamil Nadu. A total of 385 respondents were considered as the sample for this study using simple random sampling. Through survey method, a questionnaire was used to collect data. Variables such as high transaction charges, lack of help desk, transaction timeout, un-transparent transaction charges, security concern and complex procedures were used in this study. It was found that high transaction charges and lack of help desk were found as major problems to use financial services. It was suggested that technology could be modified according to vulnerable such as old age, women and illiterate so that entire population will able to use financial services. © Serials Publications Pvt. Economic development of a country relies on the contribution of banking sector. The financial service is the backbone of service sector. A quality service by banking sector is the key element to gain customer satisfaction. It is an asset for evaluating average retention and increases customer loyalty towards the bank. The paper mainly investigates on customer opinion on the services provided by banks, which are classified into convenience, cost, facilities and social factors. This investigation also examines the effect of service quality elements: Convenience, cost, facilities and social factors; on the level of customer satisfaction in public and private sector banks in India. Service quality and technology as an effect on customer satisfaction – a study with reference to public and private sector banks at Nellore region

This study is all about the natural environment and its influence on various human activities and their wellbeing. The deterioration and depletion of natural resources for the human use have created environmental problems viz, population stabilization, integrated land use planning, conservation of biological diversity, control of water and air pollution, global warming, ozone depletion, deforestation, development of non-polluting renewable energy systems and recycling of wastes and residues. The recent global burden of disease estimates shows that in India alone, more than 6, 27, 000 people die prematurely and 18 million healthy life years are lost every year due to ill health associated especially with the tiny particles. Nearly 75-80% of water pollution by volume is from domestic sewage, while untreated sewage flowing into water bodies including rivers have almost doubled in recent years. The present study is directed towards study the silk weavers' problems linking to water, air pollution and soil conservation. The major objectives of the study are to understand the demographic profile and silk related factors of the respondents from the study area and to know about their environmental awareness and responsibilities among silk weavers in the study area. The researcher has used the descriptive study design along with a structured questionnaire for collecting data. All those collected data were tabulated and subjected with needed analysis like: Frequency distribution, percentage analysis, mean score with rank correlation and one way ANOVA. The findings of the study show that there is significant relationship between education and experience with environmental awareness and responsibility among silk weavers in Arni. A co-operative bank is a financial entity which belongs to its members, who are at the same time the owners and the customers of their banks. Co-operative banks are often created by persons belonging to the same local or professional community or sharing a common interest .Co-operative institutions are organized and managed on the principle of cooperation, self-help and mutual help. There are different types of cooperative institutions functioning in India. Cooperative credit institutions are spread all over India and are providing their services at the grass root level. The population in India lives in rural areas so it is important to strengthen the cooperative credit institutions in these areas. The major advantages of the institutions are their strong branch network which covers entire area of the country. This paper attempts to study the (SCB) State Cooperative banks in India through selective indicators. It analyses the growth rate of Deposit, Credit, and C/D Ratios of SCB. This paper also studies the growth of investment, Working capital of SCB. A study on efficiency of state co-operative banks in India

This paper proposes to find out the differences in Debt Capacity of diversified and concentrated firms in the Indian context, from FY 2009-10 to FY 2015-16. Sales based Hirfindahl Index is used to differentiate firms as diversified and concentrated firms. The factors that determine the debt capacity such as Asset tangibility, Firm size, Market to book ratio and Profitability are used to find the differences in leverage of diversified and concentrated firms and applied Cross sectional regression analysis. The results confirm the earlier findings on debt capacity and diversified firms have 1 to 2 percent more to explain the variation in leverage than the concentrated firms. © Serials Publications Pvt.
