India is one of the leading economies in the world in terms of trade on various goods and services. The traditional Indian goods were demanded more at the global level. India is the leading producer of many goods and among these goods, tea is one of the consumable beverages produced at the large scale. India is one of the leading producers, exporter and consumers of tea in the world. India was once the leading producers and exporter of tea in the world. The trend has changed now. India lost its place to China. The share of India's tea production and export has been declining over the years. The present research has taken up this issue to analyses the status of India in the world tea economy. The present study is based on the secondary data for analysis. The study covers the period of 14 years from 2001 to 2014. The research has used econometric and statistical tools for analysis. The study found that India's contribution towards the world tea production and tea export has not increased significantly over the years;the area under tea cultivation in India has not increased in par with the area under tea cultivation in the world. The study suggests that there is a need for increase in the production of tea through increase in area under tea cultivation, export of tea should be increased and import of tea should be decreased to preserve the valuable foreign exchange reserve and there is an urgent need for creating awareness among the people about the health importance of tea.

The problems and prospects of indian tea industry - An analysis

The Eastern Ghats of India is well known for its wealth of natural vegetation and Shervaroy is a major hill range of the Eastern Ghats of Tamil Nadu. Ethnomedicinal studies in the Eastern Ghats of Tamil Nadu or the Shervaroy Hills have been carried out by various researchers. However, there is not much information available on ethnoveterinary medicine in the Eastern Ghats of India. The aim of this study was to examine the potential use of folk plants as alternative medicine for cattle to cure various diseases in the Shervaroy Hills of the Eastern Ghats. Based on interactions with traditional medicine practitioners, it has been observed that a total of 21 medicinal plants belonging to 16 families are used to cure various diseases such as mastitis, enteritis, arthritis, stomatitis, salivation from the mouth, wounding, and conjunctivitis in animals. It has been observed that the traditional knowledge of ethnoveterinary medicine is now confined only among the surviving older people and a few practitioners in the tribal communities of the Shervaroy Hills. Unfortunately, no serious attempts have been made to document and preserve this immense treasure of traditional knowledge. © 2014 Center for Food and Biomolecules, National Taiwan University.

Ethnoveterinary medicine of the Shervaroy Hills of Eastern Ghats, India as alternative medicine for animals

Before liberalization Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India was the only public sector operating life insurance in India but after liberalization most of the insurance companies are offering life insurance products. The new concept introduced by LIC of India is Electronic-Customer Relationship management (E-CRM) practice in a better way. The CRM concept helps to maximize customer satisfaction. CRMin insurance sector is focused on customer service and most importantly customer loyalty in the competitive society. Insurance companies are motivating the customers to use E-CRM practices. Due to increase in number of insurance players and rising awareness among customers about E-CRM practices, Insurance companies realize the importance of E-CRM. Mobile devices are playing a vital role in information processing systems in day to day life. Current trend suggests that smart phones are going to be the first-most computing devices which many people will carry with them for maximum time everywhere. However, smart phones are still lacking behind the essential resources. This demands the need for Mobile Cloud Computing, where the key elements of data storage and data processing are carried outside the mobile devices. So this provides flexibility to mobile users as, the application and the data stored remotely can be accessed on-the-fly with high speed networks. Variation among the mobile network on basis of elements such as, bandwidth, unstable network and its uncertain availability are barriers for Quality Of Services in the performance. Thus the solution is to connect the mobile devices heterogeneously where they work collaboratively as resource providers. Our mechanism suggest for "Mobile to Hub to Cloud" model which can tackles the network disparity problem. A scenario gives the perfect example for the need of such model, mobile users in areas with infrastructure where the costs of accessing the network is too high, such as traveler who doesn't wished to pay high roaming charges. Thus the suggested model can evaluate the following options: storing data in mobile hubs and improving the message delivery performance. So as in our example, traveler now can push the data onto the mobile buffers or hubs which in turn will send it to the cloud server. © 2016 SERSC.

Access to school continues to be challenging to most learners with visual and hearing impairments,irrespective of the government’s commitment to scale up efforts to support them at various levels of education. Deaf blindness affects students’ progress and well-being. This paper presents a methodology for assisting the inclusion system in education. In this context,the present work focuses the development of a Text-to-Braille application for the blind and deafand its ultimate purpose is the development of a mobile application that allows a blind user to read text that is written on the classroom board along with regular sighted-hearing students. A smart system for supporting blind people in education

This paper provides a decision-making method with linguistic assessments using pentagonal fuzzy numbers. It is proposed to solve the multi criteria decision-making algorithm based on expected values of pentagonal valued hesitant fuzzy sets in which the criteria weights are completely unknown and the criteria values for an alternative can be given by the linguistic values by a group of decision makers to transform them into pentagonal valued hesitant fuzzy sets. Finally, a practical example in a medical diagnosis situation is analyzed to demonstrate the application of the proposed decision-making method. © RJPT All right reserved.

An application of pentagonal valued hesitant fuzzy set in medical diagnosis

The aim of this study is to analyse the level of role stress and their job satisfaction among fabrication workers. Here, Role stress is explained by two variables, Role overload and Role Stagnation. The study sample covered of 60 employees working in fabrication companies located in Ranipet area. The data were collected through structured questionnaire. The study analysed the relationship between the role stress and job satisfaction and also analysed effect of role stress on job satisfaction. One way ANOVA, Correlation, Regression tools were used to analyze result. The ANOVA result showed that there was no difference between the employees' job satisfaction based on their experience. Correlation result showed that there was a negative relationship between Role overload, Role Stagnation and Job satisfaction. The impact of role stress does not much influence the job satisfaction. But there is mild level of influence between role stagnation and job satisfaction. © Serials Publications.

Analyzing the Relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility and Foreign Direct Investment

Corporate social responsibility: A manifestation in FDI

This study empirically investigates the role of Information and Communication Technology to achieve financial inclusion in economically most backward districts of Tamil Nadu, India, which comprises four districts namely Cuddalore, Nagapattinam, Tiruvannamalai and Villupuram. This study took technology based financial inclusion in banking sector such as mobile banking, internet banking, Automated Teller Machine, Financial Service Kiosk, National Electronic Funds Transfer, Real-time gross settlement systems and Immediate Payment Service to know its frequency of usage through multiple regression analysis. Further study was undergone to identify the factors affecting the access and reasons for hesitation towards access. It is found that Automated Teller Machine is frequently used by 48.9% of the respondents. Real-Time Gross Settlement and Immediate Payment Systems are found unused by much respondents. In case of hesitance, irrelevant banking products are the factor selected by 30% respondents (out of 103). Financial illiteracy and lack of frequent income are the major factors identified for not using technology. This study suggests the banks to expand its service by opening bank account with information and communication technology and bank account holders should come forward to know technology based financial inclusion to transform traditional financial system and speedy reach of financial inclusion in this decade. © Research India Publications.
